The remodeling of a stone-built ground floor flat in Edinburgh’s Morningside. An additional floor of living accommodation was provided by excavating the basement storage space and substantially underpinning the structure. The outshot was converted to line through the floor levels with the adjacent main building. This project includes a tall pivot door, handmade brick and lime mortar chimney and a spiral stair.
